SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man’s global girl group A2O MAY successfully held their first fan meeting ‘A2O MAY THE FIRST FANMEETING; MAYnia Arrive’ at the 1862 Fashion Art Center in Shanghai on Nov. 22, 2025.
Before the show, the venue filled with fans awaiting A2O MAY’s inaugural fan-meeting stage. Opening with ‘BOSS’ and ‘B.B.B’, the members greeted the crowd with thanks and visible excitement. The set then moved through a mix of group, unit, and solo stages, including the recent favorite ‘PAPARAZZI ARRIVE’, Miche & Kat’s ‘Sweat’, Shijie’s ‘Trip’, Chenyu’s ‘Someone You Loved’, Quchang’s ‘Black Sheep’, Kat’s ‘Scared to Be Lonely’, Miche’s ‘You Are The Reason’, and Chenyu·Quchang·Shijie’s ‘Melody’.
Interactive segments emphasized the group’s connection with fans. Members raffled off bandanas they designed themselves, premiered unreleased photos and videos with behind-the-scenes stories, and answered fan-submitted messages and questions in a “MAYnia Q&A.” They also joined trending dance challenges and led the audience in a ‘PAPARAZZI ARRIVE’ challenge.
A surprise tribute video prepared by fans played near the end, moving the members to tears. Reading letters they had written for the occasion, the five expressed affection and gratitude to everyone in attendance. A2O MAY said, "We’re truly happy to share our first fan meeting with so many of you. Your support and love brought us here, and this is a moment we’ll never forget. We’ll keep working hard to become artists you can be proud of."
The group’s momentum is reflected on the charts. Debut EP ‘PAPARAZZI ARRIVE’ placed No. 8 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists ranking (issue dated Nov. 22, 2025) and No. 11 on World Albums, while on U.S. mainstream radio Mediabase Top 40 Airplay “Most Added” the act tied for No. 1 alongside Justin Bieber. In China, the EP reached the top tier of QQ Music’s Hot Songs and New Songs charts, and A2O MAY earned rookie awards at major events including Weibo’s “Night of Competition” and the Weibo Music Awards.
