
As the cast of tvN’s 'Reply 1988' prepares to go on their 10th-anniversary retreat, it has been confirmed that they are also preparing a commemorative song.
The 'Reply 1988' team will head out for a group retreat this October. Director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, who created the drama, are currently at the production company Egg Is Coming, and their filming team will capture the event as variety content.
According to JTBC Enter News on October 2, the production team is also discussing producing a song. Some of the actors participating in the retreat are expected to perform vocally, though details such as the release schedule and the number of tracks have not yet been announced. The actors have reportedly received this news and expressed their willingness to participate.
'Reply 1988' aired from November 2015 to January 2016 and gained phenomenal popularity. Set in Ssangmun-dong, Seoul, in 1988, it depicted the warm relationships among neighbors, achieving a viewer rating of 18.8%. The cast included Hyeri, Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, Ryu Hye Young, Lee Dong Hwi, Ahn Jae Hong, Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa, Kim Sung Kyun, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sun Young, and Choi Moo Sung.
Even 10 years later, the drama continues to receive immense love from viewers, and many of the cast members are expected to attend the 10th-anniversary retreat to share memories. Ryu Jun Yeol will not be attending due to filming for the Netflix drama 'The Rat.'
