Kim Jong Kook, celebrating his 30th debut anniversary, has signed with the same agency as G-Dragon of Big Bang and actor Song Kang Ho.
On September 10, Galaxy Corporation, the entertainment tech company representing G-Dragon and Song Kang Ho, announced: “We have signed Kim Jong Kook.”
Kim Jong Kook debuted in July 1995 as part of the duo Turbo before transitioning to a solo career in 2001. Following artists like Kim Gun Mo, H.O.T, and g.o.d, he became the fourth—and most recent—artist to achieve a grand slam by winning the top awards from all three major terrestrial music award shows in 2005.
He also made his mark in variety entertainment, starting with SBS’s “X-Man” in 2004, and went on to star in popular shows like SBS’s “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy.” In 2020, he won the Grand Prize at the SBS Entertainment Awards, making him one of the rare entertainers to win both major music and entertainment awards.
Fresh off his private wedding on September 5, Kim Jong Kook is now preparing for a 30th anniversary album and concert under his new agency.
