Posting under the name 'A,' the woman initially shared on a workplace community forum that her ex-boyfriend's agency had transferred her 8 million KRW (approximately $6,200). She said the money was described as a preemptive consolation payment, as the ex-boyfriend was planning to appear on a reality show to publicly prepare for marriage with a new partner. She added that he was not a trending actor, but someone well-known to the public, particularly among those in their 30s or older.
As speculation spread, names such as Lee Jang Woo and On Joo Wan were mentioned. Both actors quickly responded to the rumors. Lee Jang Woo posted a message saying, "ㅇㅈㅇ is not me. Please stop calling. I am working." On Joo Wan's agency also issued a statement saying he had no connection to the incident.
