The upcoming drama 'Confidence Queen' has unveiled a striking teaser poster featuring Park Min Young, who plays the leader of a genius trio of con artists. Her character, with an IQ of 165 and a commanding presence, stands out as a top 1% mastermind.
'Confidence Queen' is a caper comedy drama that follows three highly skilled con artists as they set out to take revenge on modern-day villains. Their unpredictable schemes and complex plans deliver a unique blend of justice, wit, and thrilling action. The story introduces a new kind of financial-revenge drama that challenges traditional notions of good and evil by making the bad even worse and the strong even stronger.
The drama brings together an impressive production team. Director Nam Ki Hoon, known for his stylish work on 'Big Bet,' 'Kiss Sixth Sense,' 'Oh My Baby,' and 'Voice 3,' collaborates with writer Hong Seung Hyun, who has proven his talent for character-driven storytelling through 'Criminal Minds' and 'Cheo-Yong seasons 1 and 2.' Leading the cast are Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon, and Joo Jong Hyuk, whose performances are expected to create thrilling on-screen synergy.
On July 30, the drama released a teaser poster that highlights the bold charisma of Park Min Young’s character, Yoon I Rang. She is seen dressed in a sharp suit, sitting nonchalantly on a leather sofa, radiating confidence and authority. With her hand resting under her chin and a cold smirk on her face, Yoon I Rang steps on piles of scattered cash with her heel, showing off her fearless attitude and strategic power.
“The teaser poster is simple but captures the intensity of 'Confidence Queen' through Park Min Young’s powerful image,” the production team commented. “We believe this drama will be truly one of a kind. Please look forward to it.”
'Confidence Queen' is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, September 6 at 9:10 PM KST on TV Chosun and Coupang Play. International viewers can stream the series through Amazon Prime Video in 240 countries and regions, excluding South Korea.
