TWICE’s Chaeyoung to make solo debut this fall.
According to reports on June 10 KST, TWICE member Chaeyoung is set to launch her solo career in the second half of this year. Her official solo debut is expected to take place in the fall, following TWICE’s full-group comeback and upcoming overseas festival schedules in July.
With this debut, Chaeyoung will become the fourth TWICE member to go solo, following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. Other members are also pursuing individual projects—Mina, Sana, and Momo debuted as the Japanese unit MISAMO with their mini album 'Masterpiece', which sold over 155,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon Weekly Chart from July 24 to 30, 2023. It also became the best first-week sales record for a Japanese female artist that year, earning the trio an invitation to the prestigious NHK year-end music show 'Kōhaku Uta Gassen'.
Meanwhile, Dahyun has stepped into acting, making her film debut in the Korean adaptation of 'You Are the Apple of My Eye'.
Since their debut in 2015, TWICE has remained at the forefront of the Korean music scene for nearly a decade. The group quickly gained popularity in both South Korea and Japan, and has expanded its reach through world tours across North and South America, Europe, and beyond.
As members thrive in solo, unit, acting, and variety show endeavors, TWICE continues to evolve beyond a group into a collection of individual artists with strong presence. Chaeyoung’s upcoming solo debut is expected to bring fresh momentum to the group while further solidifying TWICE’s global impact.
