Girls’ Generation member YoonA is taking firm legal action against those spreading malicious content online.

On June 10 KST, her agency SM Entertainment released an official statement, announcing, “We are informing you of legal actions in response to rights violations concerning our artist Yoona. Through monitoring and fan reports via KWANGYA 119, we have confirmed that malicious posts, including the spread of false information, defamation, and slander, are being circulated. A complaint has already been filed, and we are cooperating with the authorities in the investigation.”

The agency emphasized, “We are pursuing all possible civil and criminal actions against any unlawful acts that suggest or refer to the artist not only by name but also via initials, nicknames, or partial characters. No leniency or settlements will be considered—we will respond strongly and without exception.”

SM also warned, “Spreading unverified rumors or posting malicious content, whether written or visual, is clearly illegal. We ask that people refrain from writing or sharing such harmful posts, and we advise everyone to act responsibly to avoid being involved in legal issues.”
