Actor So Ji Sub may be returning to the small screen as a secret agent.
On June 20, a representative from his agency 51K told The Daily Sports, “So Ji Sub has received an offer to star in the drama 'Manager Kim' and is currently reviewing the proposal.”
The upcoming series 'Manager Kim' is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. It is a separate project from the drama 'The Story of Chief Kim,' which is also scheduled for release later this year and is based on the novel 'Chief Kim, Who Works at a Major Company and Owns an Apartment in Seoul.'
'Manager Kim' follows the gripping story of an ordinary father who unveils his hidden identity as a former special agent in a desperate attempt to find his missing daughter. So Ji Sub has been offered the lead role of Kim, a doting father with a secret past.
Meanwhile, So Ji Sub is currently appearing in the Netflix series 'Mercy for None,' which tells the story of Gi Jun, a man who returns to the underworld to avenge his brother’s death. The series quickly gained global attention, topping Netflix’s non-English TV show rankings within two weeks of its release.
