Seunghan, formerly a member of the group RIIZE, is set to make his solo debut.
On June 9, a representative from SM Entertainment confirmed to DongA.com, “Seunghan is currently preparing for a solo debut, aiming for a release in July. Please look forward to it.”
News of Seunghan’s solo debut first surfaced in November 2023. At the time, SM stated, “Seunghan is continuing his training with full support in areas such as production and management to prepare for his solo debut. He aims to show a new side of himself as a solo artist and pursue his dreams and talents. We ask for your warm support and interest.”
Seunghan debuted as a member of RIIZE in September 2023 but suspended all activities indefinitely that November following personal controversy. Since then, RIIZE has continued promoting as a six-member group, releasing hits like “Love 119” and “Boom Boom Bass,” gaining widespread popularity.
SM initially announced Seunghan’s return to RIIZE in October, but after backlash, the decision was reversed just two days later, and his departure from the group was confirmed.
Seunghan later apologized to his members and fans, stating, “I no longer want to cause harm. I sincerely hope the RIIZE I love will continue to be cherished and supported.”
