Hwang Jung Eum has officially finalized her divorce from businessman Lee Young Don.

On May 26, Hwang’s agency Y.ONE Entertainment announced, “As of May 26, 2025, Hwang Jung Eum’s divorce case has been concluded amicably with the court’s arbitration decision. The divorce is now legally finalized.”

This comes after reports that Lee Young-don had filed a property seizure request against Hwang involving real estate worth approximately 1.8 billion KRW (about 1.3 million USD). His steel processing company, Geoam Core, filed a lawsuit in March seeking the return of a 157 million KRW loan, and later requested a provisional seizure of a building in Seongnae-dong, Seoul, owned by Hwang.

In response, Hwang’s agency explained, “The property seizure occurred during the division of marital assets and was a mutual act by both parties. It is a common procedure in divorce cases. As the legal process is now complete, the seizure will be lifted.”

Hwang is also currently facing trial for embezzlement related to her personal corporation. Her agency expressed regret for causing public concern and assured efforts to bring the legal matter to a close as soon as possible.

Hwang Jung Eum and Lee Young Don, a former professional golfer turned businessman, married in 2016 and had two sons. They initially filed for divorce in 2020 but reconciled shortly afterward. However, in early 2024, the couple announced their final separation.
