On March 6 KST, Wake One Entertainment and KLAP Entertainment announced Kep1er member Seo Youngeun's departure from the team after 4-years.
The two agencies stated, "Kep1er will continue its activities as a six-member group, consisting of Choi Yujin, Xiaoting, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Hikaru, and Huening Bahiyyih. Seo Youngeun, who has been part of Kep1er's precious journey since their debut in 2022, will conclude her activities with the group."
This marks Seo Youngeun's departure approximately 7 months after Wake One Entertainment announced her temporary hiatus, meant to focus on her health and recovery, in July of last year.
Meanwhile, Seo Youngeun debuted as a member of Kep1er in January of 2022 after finishing in 5th place on Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999'.
