Lim Young Woong has achieved another milestone on Korea’s largest music streaming platform.
According to Melon on March 8, the 11 tracks included in Lim Young Woong’s second full length album ‘IM HERO 2’ have collectively surpassed 900 million cumulative streams on the platform. The achievement reflects both the continued streaming support from his fandom, Hero Generation, and the album’s broad popularity among listeners.
The milestone was driven by the balanced success of the album’s tracks, led by the title song “Eterrnal Moment.” Songs such as “ULSSIGU,” which Lim Young Woong participated in writing, along with “Unread” and “Melody for You,” have continued to receive steady plays, contributing to the album’s long term popularity.
Notably, the album’s tracks have maintained strong streaming performance even long after their release. While they dominated the charts upon release, many of the songs continue to rank high on streaming charts today. Fans have responded enthusiastically, commenting, “As expected from Lim Young Woong,” and “It feels like he’s setting a new record every day.”
Lim Young Woong is also maintaining remarkable records in Melon’s overall cumulative streaming rankings. In February, his total cumulative streams on the platform surpassed 13.4 billion, tying him with BTS for the all time No. 1 spot. The 900 million streams from ‘IM HERO 2’ have further contributed to the growth of his overall record.
The strong streaming performance is also heightening anticipation for his upcoming concerts. Lim Young Woong is scheduled to hold a solo concert, ‘IM HERO – THE STADIUM 2,’ at Goyang Sports Complex Stadium in September.
