A new ENA's Monday–Tuesday drama, 'Climax,' is raising anticipation ahead of its premiere after unveiling a striking poster that highlights its powerful ensemble cast. Featuring intense gazes from characters foreshadowing desire and conflict surrounding the peak of power, the newly released poster immediately draws attention and signals the beginning of a fierce survival story centered on political ambition.
'Climax' follows prosecutor Bang Tae Seop, who throws himself into a powerful cartel in pursuit of South Korea’s highest authority. The series explores the brutal survival game that unfolds among Bang Tae Seop and the people entangled around him.
The newly released poster presents a tense composition of five characters moving toward the pinnacle of power. At the center stands Ju Ji Hoon as prosecutor Bang Tae Seop, staring directly ahead with a heavy, resolute gaze. Surrounding him are Chu Sang Ah (Ha Ji Won), Hwang Jung Won (Nana), Kwon Jong Wook (Oh Jung Se), and Lee Yang Mi (Cha Joo Young), each positioned with different expressions and directions of gaze.
Placed in separate spaces, the characters hint at a complex web of relationships within a single power structure. Their ambitions and choices raise questions about what conflicts and fractures will emerge. The poster’s tagline - “The more they fall into corruption, the higher they rise; the deeper the desire, the closer to the climax” - symbolically captures the characters’ willingness to risk downfall in their pursuit of the top.
Another set of posters also reveals lines that reflect each character’s personality. Bang Tae Seop declares his ambition to dominate the center of power with the phrase, “The war has already begun, and I’m the one holding the key.”
Top actress Chu Sang Ah shows her determination to protect her place at the summit with the line, “I’d rather shatter than slowly wither away.”
Hwang Jung Won reveals her fearless attitude with, “What’s wrong with living dirty in a dirty world?” suggesting she is ready to shake up the system even if it means taking risks. Chaebol heir Kwon Jong Wook hints at his own desires in the power struggle with the line, “I’m planning to pour more fuel on your news.” Meanwhile, Lee Yang Mi asserts her independence with, “I absolutely hate being controlled by anyone,” indicating she will participate in the power game on her own terms.
Through this setup, 'Climax' is expected to portray the choices of characters striving to survive within a massive power structure where politics, business, and the entertainment industry collide. The character dynamics created by Ju Ji Hoon, Ha Ji Won, Nana, Oh Jung Se, and Cha Joo Young are also expected to heighten the drama’s immersion.
Audience reactions have already been heated. After watching the drama’s main trailer, some viewers commented online, “Is this going to be Ha Ji Won’s career-defining role?” “Ha Ji Won and Ju Ji Hoon look great together. So excited,” and “I love all the actors - Ha Ji Won, Ju Ji Hoon, Oh Jung Se, Cha Joo Young - so I’m really looking forward to it.”

ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama 'Climax' will premiere on March 16 at 10 p.m. KST on ENA. The series will also be available on KT Genie TV and Disney+.
