The list recognizes various figures from different industries, including entertainment, business, fashion, sports, gaming, and more who have made an impact in leading the multicultural scene.
The list is organized with honorees who have been nominated and voted for their contributions and recognition for their influence. This year, director Bong Joon Ho, Seventeen, BLACKPINK's Rosé, writer Han Kang, and more have been recognized on the Gold House A100.
Below are some of the Korean honorees named this year:
Director Bong Joon Ho

Director Bong Joon Ho is the mastermind behind various renowned films, including 'Memories of Murder,' 'Snowpiercer,' 'Okja,' and the Academy-winning film 'Parasite.' He has received many accolades for his storytelling through his films. He has returned with his new film 'Mickey 17' in 2025. 'Mickey 17' is a science fiction black comedy film based on the novel 'Mickey 7.' The story unfolds as Mickey is hired as an 'Expendable.' He is paid to go through extremely dangerous, often life-threatening jobs. When losing his life during an assignment, he is cloned with his memories restored in the new body.
'Squid Game's Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byun Hun, and director Hwang Dong Hyuk

The leading actors Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun were selected alongside director Hwang Dong Hyuk, being recognized for their roles in 'Squid Game,' the megahit series that caused a sensation in its initial premiere. The Netflix series returned with Season 2 at the end of 2024, returning with a massive buzz. 'Squid Game' now awaits its final installment, bringing the exhilarating story to a conclusion.
BLACKPINK's Rose

This year has truly been a fruitful year for BLACKPINK's Rose as she has set new records through her solo endeavors. She was recognized by Gold House for her global hit track "APT." with Bruno Mars, which became the highest debut by a female artist on the Billboard Hot 100. She has garnered immense success with her solo activities, releasing her solo album 'ROSIE.'
Seventeen

Seventeen was recognized by the Gold House A100, as the list cited, "Crowned ‘Best Group’ at the 2024 VMAs and ‘Top K-pop Touring Artist’ at the 2024 BBMAs, SEVENTEEN made history last year as the first K-pop act to grace the iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and headline Lollapalooza Berlin. The K-pop icon went on to make their stadium debut stateside during the 5-stop U.S. leg of their ‘RIGHT HERE’ world tour, which also included an all-stadium run in Asia with 20 shows across 9 stops. In 2024 alone, they attracted over 1.4 million attendees to their concerts both in-person and online, claiming a spot on Billboard Boxscore’s year-end ‘Top Tours’ chart as the only K-pop artist featured."
Writer Han Kang

Writer Han Kang became the first South Korean and the first Asian woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature this year for her novel 'The Vegetarian.' She has been recognized for her " intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and exposes the fragility of human life," often exploring the human psyche through her writing.
Faker (Lee Sang Hyeok)

One of the living legends in eSports, Faker, has been widely recognized for his exceptional skills in League of Legends. According to Gold House, "Throughout his career, he has recorded 10 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) titles, two Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) titles, and 5 World Championship titles. He is widely known as one of the greatest League of Legends players in history."
