Actor Lim Joo Hwan has joined Base Camp Company, becoming labelmates with longtime friends Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung.
Base Camp Company is a newly launched agency founded by actors Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung. Im Joo Hwan reportedly made the decision to sign with the agency based on his longstanding friendship and trust with the two founders.
On April 30, Base Camp Company stated, “We’re thrilled to welcome actor Lim Joo Hwan, who has earned steady love and recognition for his performances across various works. We plan to fully support his wide-ranging activities. Please show lots of support and interest in Im Joo Hwan as he begins this new chapter with Base Camp Company.”
Lim Joo Hwan made his debut in 2004 with the SBS drama Magic and has since built an impressive career with over 40 works, including dramas such as The Snow Queen, Oh My Ghost, Uncontrollably Fond, The Spies Who Loved Me, and Three Bold Siblings, as well as films like A Frozen Flower, The Technicians, and Because I Love You. He has also appeared in stage productions like A Streetcar Named Desire and Killology.
He gained additional attention last year for his appearance on tvN’s variety show Unexpected Business, where he worked as a part-time employee and proved to be an indispensable support for the "Bosses" Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung. Through various broadcasts, he has shown his close bond with the two actors.
Currently, Lim Joo Hwan is starring as documentary photographer Philip in the stage play The Pride. He also recently drew international attention in Gangs of London Season 3, where he plays a member of a gang originating from Busan that has expanded into London.
Base Camp Company currently represents Cha Tae Hyun, Jo In Sung, Jin Ki Joo, and now Lim Joo Hwan.
