Dreamcatcher's JiU, SuA, and Yoohyeon are coming together to form a new unit called UAU. This marks their first unit project since the group’s debut eight years ago.
According to Dreamcatcher Company on April 23, the trio is preparing for their official debut as UAU in May. The name stands for "You Are You," and it carries a message of self-acceptance and freedom. Through their music, they hope to bring comfort and help listeners reconnect with their true selves beyond the routine of daily life.
The name UAU also combines a syllable from each of the members' names—JiU, SuA, and Yoohyeon—symbolizing how their charms are coming together freshly and excitingly. Known for their strong presence in the rock-metal genre through Dreamcatcher, the three members are expected to show a different side of themselves with this new unit.
Promotions for the upcoming release will begin soon as UAU gets ready to meet fans with their unique sound and energy.
