'ZIP Daesung' celebrated its 1st anniversary and invited a special MC to host the show for one day.
On April 4, 'ZIP Daesung' invited CL as its special host for the day to help interview the main host, Daesung. In addition to the show's 1st-anniversary celebration, Daesung also marked the release of his solo album.
From the start, the two showed off their usual sibling chemistry, with CL dissing Daesung and Daesung teasing CL's hosting skills.
CL nervously presided over the show, awkwardly reading the script. Daesung attempted to guide CL and said, "Smile. Or at least fake it. Then just remember the line and say it." But CL argued back, "Actually, I probably shouldn't learn to host from you. That's probably a bad idea. haha."
CL then took to her own terms to host and asked the generic question, "I heard it's 'ZIP Daesung's first anniversary. Congratulations. How do you feel?" Daesung also replied with a generic answer, mocking CL, "I'm so overwhelmed. I am truly happy. I mean. I never thought this show would receive so much love from so many people so soon. I am just grateful and happy. I'm living each day with joy these days."
In response to Daesung's "generic" reply, CL shared, "But honestly, you're not that great as a guest. You're kind of boring as a guest," making the production crew laugh.
She continued, "That was such a basic answer. I think I'm a better guest than you." Daesung argued back, "The host is supposed to bring out more from a boring guest!" continuing their tiki taka (Korean slang for back and forth).
