Singer Chuu moved fans with her heartfelt reaction to the Netflix series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ in her latest vlog.
On April 14th KST, a new video titled “Idol Kim Chuu’s Diet Vlog Before Her Comeback” was uploaded to her YouTube channel ‘Chuu Can Do It’. The video showed Chuu’s life leading up to her comeback, including scenes of her managing her diet and taking a rare cheat day after shooting a music video.
While eating a modest portion of chicken paired with soy milk—“It’s all protein!” she insisted—Chuu decided to unwind by watching ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’, the popular series starring IU and Park Bo Gum. “Yves unnie told me she cried a lot while watching this. Is it really that emotional?” she wondered at the beginning.
As the story unfolded, Chuu responded with humorous and heartfelt commentary. When the characters Gwan-sik and Ae-soon finally secured their own home, Chuu laughed and said, “It’s okay… I don’t have a house either!” She gushed over the couple’s romance, saying, “This is love. They’re so beautiful together.”
However, her mood shifted as the drama reached its emotional climax. Upon hearing IU’s narration—“Their Steelhear collapsed”—Chuu burst into tears. “Everyone in the village is looking for Dong-myung? That’s so kind,” she had commented moments before. Her emotions overwhelmed her to the point where she couldn’t even finish filming the vlog with a proper sign-off, ending the video still visibly sobbing.
Fans praised Chuu’s sincerity and relatability, especially her genuine emotional connection to the story. The vlog not only offered a glimpse into her comeback preparations but also highlighted her warm-hearted and expressive nature.
