Rising K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR is set to continue their upward trajectory with a brand-new release this May.
On April 14th at 10 PM KST, the group took to their official social media accounts to unveil an animated teaser confirming the release of their 4th mini album titled 'No Genre' on May 13th at 6 PM KST. The teaser features a character sprinting forward before leaping into the air, capturing the group’s signature cool and playful energy. The album title and release date flash on screen, ramping up anticipation among fans.
No Genre marks BOYNEXTDOOR’s return approximately eight months after their third mini album 19.99 and four months after their hit digital single “One and Only (오늘만 I LOVE YOU)”, which earned them career-high results. That track peaked at No. 4 on Melon’s Top 100 the day after its release and held the No. 7 spot on the February monthly chart. It remains in the Top 10, currently sitting at No. 9 on the weekly chart (April 7–13), and dominated Apple Music Korea’s Top 100 for 37 consecutive days.
The group also made a strong impression globally, appearing on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) and Global 200 charts, further solidifying their international presence.
In January, BOYNEXTDOOR successfully wrapped up their first solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’, performing 17 shows across 12 cities, including stops in Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. Encore performances in Tokyo and Seoul are also in the works, promising more excitement for their growing global fanbase.
With No Genre, BOYNEXTDOOR aims to showcase even more musical versatility, and fans are eagerly awaiting what the group has in store for this new chapter.
