French president Emmanuel Macron recently wrapped up a state visit to South Korea and excitedly shared photos with top Korean stars.
On his Instagram, he posted a short video with the Korean caption "Finger Heart," showing him taking a selfie using the phone of Stray Kids' member Felix. The video featured Stray Kids' "Victory Song" playing in the background. Felix, who currently serves as an honorary ambassador for the 140th anniversary of Korea-France relations, warmly thanked the President in French. Macron also uploaded a star-studded group selfie with his wife, actors Jun Ji Hyun, Jeon Jong Seo, Noh Sang Hyun, and singer Psy, which was taken during a special cultural banquet before his departure.
At an official lunch attended by top business leaders like Samsung's Lee Jae Yong, Macron continued to express his deep appreciation for the country. He beautifully quoted Nobel Prize-winning author Han Kang, using her words about a "golden thread connecting our hearts" to describe the 140-year friendship between France and Korea.
This trip marked the first visit by a French president in 11 years, and the two countries agreed to work closely together on future technologies like AI, semiconductors, and nuclear power.
