Former S.E.S member Shoo recently shared an update on her successful business venture.
On the 18th, Shoo posted a heartfelt message on her personal account, writing, "I've been obsessed with a plant called 'Byeongpul' for the past six months. I was worried at first, but those months have been truly happy days."
She continued, "Toward the end, I was practically living in Cheonan, constantly traveling between the farm, the office, and the warehouse." Reflecting on her past struggles, she added, "Looking back, it’s true that I wasn’t always happy over the past few years. I always wanted to present my best self to the world, but things didn’t always go as planned."
Shoo went on to express her joy in her new venture, stating, "Despite the challenges, I was grateful to have something to focus on while developing and launching products." She added, "For someone like me, who has always had a vague interest in plants, creating 'healthy food' has been a unique and fulfilling experience."
She then revealed the remarkable success of her product, announcing that 50,000 units were sold out within just a week of release.
Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, "It’s all thanks to you. To everyone who trusted me and bought my products—I sincerely thank you."
Previously, Shoo had shared more about her passion for health and nutrition, writing, "I’ve always been interested in vegetables. Not many people know this, but I even translated and published a book about them. After having children, I became even more focused on their health and tried to give them the best nutrition—just like all mothers do."
She continued, "Through an acquaintance, I was introduced to a company and was given the opportunity to participate in the development and investment of a health food product using purslane as the main ingredient. It wasn’t an easy challenge, but I gave it my all, hoping to create a product that both my children and many others could enjoy in a healthy and delicious way."
Meanwhile, Shoo debuted with S.E.S. in 1997, releasing numerous hit songs such as 'I'm Your Girl', 'Dreams Come True', and 'Just A Feeling'.
However, in February 2019, she was sentenced to six months in prison, two years of probation, and 80 hours of community service for habitual overseas gambling. She was found guilty of gambling 26 times between August 2016 and May 2018.
