On February 22, actress Son Tae Young shared a heartwarming story about her son, Look Hee, during a recent vlog upload on her 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae Young' channel. The vlog, titled "Son Tae Young's Tokyo Vlog Part 2 (1 million KRW (about $700) Hotel, Don Quixote Favorite Items)," captured a lighthearted dinner scene where Son Tae Young was joined by her staff in Japan.
During the meal, the conversation turned to Look Hee, with Son Tae Young revealing, "He's grown so tall these days that he looks just like my husband. He's 180cm now."
She went on to comment on how popular he likely is among his peers, but added with a laugh, "He goes to an all-boys school, so he can't even meet any girls. I’m the one who has to pick him up. Occasionally, I see him riding his bike with his helmet on, and there's no way he could meet anyone that way!"
Son Tae Young also shared a glimpse of their family's driving traditions, explaining that Look Hee will be able to drive from the age of 16. "I told him to learn from his dad when he’s old enough," she said, jokingly adding, "They’ll probably argue a lot about it."
When talking about her daughter, Ri Ho, Son Tae Young revealed that Ri Ho has a knack for apologizing, even if she struggles to say "sorry" at first. "She can be stubborn, but when she feels bad, she’ll send a message saying, 'I’m sorry, mom. Please reply,’" Son Tae Young shared, laughing about her daughter’s emotional side.
The vlog also featured a touching moment from a conversation at the hotel lounge, where a friend of Son Tae Young shared an endearing story about Look Hee’s sweet nature. "I was walking faster than everyone else, but Look Hee noticed and slowed down to match my pace, saying, 'Mom, you’re walking too fast for me.' He’s such a sweet kid," the friend said. Son Tae Young, beaming with pride, responded, "That’s just how he is."
She then added, "And Ri Ho, despite being young, manages to keep up. She never cries, not once!" The conversation shifted to Ri Ho’s playful nature, with Son Tae Young noting how her home feels much quieter without her. "It’s so quiet without Ri Ho at home," she explained. "My brother says the house is too quiet without her."
Despite the playful tone of the conversation, Son Tae Young’s love and admiration for her children were evident as she fondly spoke of their personalities and the joy they bring to her life.
