In the 275th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 8th, actress Song Hye-kyo made a special appearance.
Appearing on a talk show for the first time in 23 years, Song Hye-kyo expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's an honor to greet you in the new year," and shared her thoughts on being the first guest of the year.
Although visibly nervous, saying, "I'm nervous," Song Hye-kyo was warmly welcomed by MCs Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho, who greeted her with a large bouquet of flowers.
Jo Se-ho tried to ease her nervousness, mentioning a message he received from model Shin Hyun-ji: "She contacted me and said, 'Please take good care of my unnie. She's really funny. She's a swamp—you can't escape once you fall in.'" Yoo Jae-suk agreed, adding, "Everyone around me says that. 'Song Hye-kyo is funny.'"
Song Hye-kyo responded modestly, "I'm not someone who lacks passion for comedy. People always say, 'Others should know she's funny.' But I've never found myself funny. I just respond seriously in situations, and I guess my friends find that amusing."
Jo Se-ho then revealed his first-time meeting with Song Hye-kyo, saying, "I've only ever seen her on TV, so this is the first time I've met her," and expressed his gratitude, "I'm so thankful that she gave me a wedding gift even before filming."
Not stopping there, Song Hye-kyo also prepared gifts for the production team. Yoo Jae-suk joked, "I didn’t even invite you, so why are you giving me a gift?" while Jo Se-ho added humorously, "I'm sorry. I thought it would be rude to contact you, so I didn’t," eliciting laughter.
