B.I breaks his silence with an emotional apology for his past decisions and causing the drug controversy

AKP STAFF

B.I, who previously stirred up controversy with 'drug charges,' has officially issued an apology.

On June 1, B.I attended a media showcase at Shinhan Play Square Live Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to mark the release of his second studio album titled 'TO DIE FOR.'

Facing the reporters, B.I appeared somewhat nervous. It is worth noting that this event marked B.I's first official appearance in approximately four years since the drug incident.

Before the Q&A session with the reporters, B.I spoke with a trembling voice, expressing, "There is something I would like to address first." He proceeded to apologize, stating, "I would like to apologize for disappointing many people and causing social controversy due to my past wrong judgments and choices."

Continuing with his apology, B.I acknowledged the concerns surrounding his actions and endeavors. He humbly admitted, "I have nothing to say except that I am sorry. Not a single day has gone by where I have felt at ease. I am always self-reflecting and am repenting."

He continued, "I began promoting again with the heart to repay the debt. I don't think that self-reflecting and repenting ends after a certain period. it's different depending on each person but I will live self-reflecting with a heavy heart for the rest of my life."

B.I was expelled from the group iKON and YG Entertainment following allegations of purchasing cannabis and LSD in 2019 and using a portion of it. In September 2021, he received a sentence of a probationary period of 4 years. If B.I commits any additional drug-related crimes within this probationary period, the court will have the authority to sentence him to at least 3 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the album 'TO DIE FOR' consists of a total of 15 songs, including the double title tracks "Dare to Love" and "Die for Love." The album was released on June 1 at 6 PM KST.

He made a mistake, paid for it and are sticking to the right path. If he keep it up there's nothing to be sorry for, we've all move on.

Ikon is also doing well and break record recently. They're all where they need to be in life rn, they're on the correct path.

He also probably feels bad about how badly iKON is doing after her left. It won't help them gain traction but regardless if him being innocent or not, he still feels bad.
