Professional choreographer Gabee, who appeared on the popular Mnet program 'Street Woman Fighter,' is garnering much attention for her recent interview with The BBC.

In her interview that was released on April 28, Gabee revealed that she doesn't need to be skinny to be beautiful and spoke against the social atmosphere in Korea, where only a specific body shape is deemed as beautiful. 

She shared, "I had a big butt since I was little. I was teased, being called a duck, and I heard people say 'She has such a big butt.' But the standard of beauty changes with time so I think it's meaningless to change your body to fit that standard of that time and I think it's more beautiful if you maintain the body that you're born with."

She continued, "You don't need to weigh 48kg (106 lbs) at a height of 163 cm (5'4"). I'm over 60 kg (132 lbs), but I have a lot of muscles. I am healthy. A healthy body is a beautiful body, isn't it?"

Gabee added, "If you don't think positively about your body, then all you'll think about is, I need to be skinny here and thicker there." She stressed that you need to love your own body and explained, "You shouldn't change your body because you hate it but you need to take care of your body because you love your body. You're giving it more love. If you hate your body, all you'll see is the weird parts about your body."

Lastly, Gabee shared, "Everyone knows their weaknesses and parts where they lack confidence. In fact, even that aspect is beautiful and very human. I want to become a person who can give everyone the strength to live a better and more confident life."
