Dara clarified her wealth of 30 billion KRW (21 million USD). 

On October 5, Dara appeared in the episode of 'Problem Child in House' with Park So Hyun. On this day, Dara talked about her small eating habits along with various other topics, including the reunion performance with 2NE1 at Coachella and also about the rumors that she is the third richest female artist following IU and Lee Hyori.

During the show, Jeong Hyeong Don brought up the topic of Dara's earnings and her hobby of collecting shoes. He said, "You're well known for being a shoe collector. How many pairs do you have?" Dara replied, "I have about 1,000 pairs," bringing shock to everyone.

Dara elaborated, "The most expensive shoe is worth 20 million KRW (14,116 USD). I buy every colorway of each shoe. Sometimes I wear them, but I don't want them to get dirty, so I only wear them around the house."

The singer then went on to talk about a past news article that said she has a net worth of 30 billion KRW and is the third richest female idol, just behind IU and Lee Hyori. Dara explained, "There was a news article that said I had 30 billion KRW worth of wealth. I was sad because it's not true. But after I thought about it, I think I did earn around 30 billion KRW in my career. I probably would have been able to invest in real estate if I didn't go shopping so much."
