Media outlets, businesses, professionals, and various other individuals worldwide are constantly mentioning BTS's Jimin

The frequency with which Jimin is mentioned worldwide by global media outlets, professionals, businesses, and many other individuals is mind-blowing. More so, despite being an artist by profession, his influence is not restricted to the music industry alone. The people and entities mentioning or referencing him are from a wide array of fields and of all ages. Over the past few days, there have been various mentions and references to Jimin across different countries, namely the US, South Korea, Italy, Japan, Egypt, and Spain, to mention a few.

On March 5, an ARMY made a post on Twitter recounting how she and a group of friends took a picture in a room where they met and said "BTS!" while they took the photo, and someone from across the room yelled 'JIMIIIIN'! Another ARMY responded to this post, saying how many locals tend to know Jimin even though they may not know BTS. This response is, in fact, true as South Korea's Minister of Sports, Culture, and Tourism once said that "everyone has to know Jimin's name" during an interview where he easily recognized Jimin from a photo he had been shown. Additionally, various media outlets have reported on Jimin being a representative face of BTS and K-pop in general to the rest of the world.

In the US, one media outlet Arizona Cronkite reported on how small businesses are tapping into K-pop's global popularity to cater to a new market of K-pop fans, and the news outlet used a Jimin-themed boba tea event to demonstrate the market created by K-pop. There was a long line of fans waiting to enter the venue of the event that had special Jimin-themed drinks, which was a clear indication of Jimin's massive influence that is highly beneficial to small businesses.

In South Korea, Jimin was mentioned in the first episode of 'neighborhood bro Jjun,' where Kim Hyung Jun, a singer, actor, and dancer, expressed his liking for Jimin. Having been in the entertainment industry for a much longer period of time and still knowing and admiring Jimin speaks to Jimin's impact in the industry, considering the high number of idols who are currently active or have been active for as long as BTS has been in the industry. Despite the stiff competition, Jimin still stands out, and his impact is felt. Moreover, many idols look up to him, and rookie idols constantly name him as their role model [read herehere, and here], hence why he is called the 'idol of idols' and 'rookies' bible.'

Reports from Italy show that Jimin has also been mentioned in the country recently. A Korean YouTuber and travel blogger who is currently residing in Italy conducted an interview with a family that had flown into Italy from France to attend a K-pop gathering in Rome. The mother in the family confessed to liking Jimin the most, stating his attractiveness, originality, and 'being special' as her reasons for liking him. Jimin's fans and supporters are everywhere, and they come in all ages, proving the authenticity of his influence.

Notably, Italy is known to be one of the countries where the 'Jimin Effect' has hit hard as he has increasingly become an influential figure on the Italian coffee market, with numerous coffee businesses incorporating his name and/or picture in their coffee products to draw in more customers and maximize their profits [read here]. Italy is known as the home of coffee, and so this is an impressive feat for Jimin.

Italian media has also previously published an article on Jimin's influence in matters of mental well-being for young adults [read here].

Evidently, Jimin is such a big name in Italy for more reasons than one, demonstrating his strong influence.

Previously, other street interviews had also depicted the extent to which Jimin is loved and adored by the general public, such as the case when a staff from 'Korea Now' visited McDonald's to get the 'BTS Meal' on its release day in Korea, and interviewed a customer and store manager, both of whom confessed to love Jimin. South Korea immensely loves and adores Jimin.

Japan has been no exception to the Jimin effect, being another country where Jimin has been extensively mentioned [read examples here].

In more recent news, a widely renowned Japanese host and pop culture journalist, Furuya Masayuki, shared a picture of him that Jimin had drawn during the radio show 'BTS My Best Request,' saying that the picture 'could make him cry.' Furuya had previously mentioned Jimin when he thanked him for a polaroid that Jimin had gifted him, and also when he admired Jimin's Japanese skills and also chose him as the idol to whom he would give Valentine's day chocolates. Moreover, Furuya has spoken highly of Jimin's stage control abilities, clearly showing why he admires and is drawn to Jimin in the way that he is. In fact, it is not surprising to see him marvel over Jimin's stage presence, given that even Korean media always uses Jimin-centered footage whenever they report on any BTS performances [refer here and here]. Jimin's performance skills will captivate anyone, which has made him immensely popular.

An award-winning actress and singer in Egypt also mentioned Jimin as she responded to a fan's Twitter post seeking motivation to study. Somaya's response was that placing Jimin's picture in front would be all the motivation needed to study. Again, even in matters of education, Jimin's name still holds relevance.

It is worth mentioning that even South Korea's media entities have consistently highlighted Jimin's advice to students many times as they go into important exams, since Jimin is known to have been a top student with perfect scores and also gives the best advice when it comes to studies [read here]. Apart from being the perfect student academically, Jimin was also an all-rounded student who engaged in various school clubs (like robotics, book club, billiards, football, and tennis) and physical activities (Chinese, Korean, and Japanese martial arts) and highly excelled in each activity [read here]. For this reason, Jimin would indeed be the best form of motivation for any student, to show them that they can conquer anything.

The world of art has also experienced Jimin's influence to a large extent. Artists constantly draw and paint Jimin or derive inspiration for some of their works from Jimin and his impeccable stage performances [read here].

One artist, y0ngmini, a graphic designer and illustrator, recently shared a captivating art piece of Jimin on his social media. The artist is a well-known fan of Jimin, and he previously painted the Jimin photo zone on Nuwemaru street in Jeju after Jimin's visit caused a large influx of tourists to the region.

On a different occasion, another artist, this time a Japanese manga artist, also drew Jimin's picture where he looked like 'Yuzuhiko' and posted it on his social media. He referenced the inspiration for the drawing to be a recent BTS VLIVE broadcast where Jimin had been said to look like Yuzuhiko with his newly permed hair, hence why the artist drew Jimin like Yuzuhiko.

In Spain, one entertainment media outlet named Jimin as one of the top 10 best Main dancers in K-pop, as reported on March 5. The publication mentions how Jimin has attracted massive attention for his brilliant execution of moves for the different choreographies. The article further states that 'if there is anyone who can make people fall in love just by dancing, it is Jimin.'

Jimin's talent is unparalleled and can never be replicated due to his diverse background in different dance genres [refer here], which sees him having his own signature style that fuses all his different dance skills into the choreography. He stands out in any performance, and all eyes are glued to him, hence his unimaginable popularity.

The fact that Jimin's name comes up at the top in any topic is a testament to his impact. Be it in art, businesses, music and performing, education matters, and general talk in the public, he is always there. Not many individuals/celebrities can boast of the same influence.
