The convicted sex offender and former idol Jonghun will be released from prison later today. 

Previously in Many 2019, Choi Jonghun was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison plus 80 hours of sexual violence education and a 3-year employment restriction in areas related to children and adolescents for his participation in group sexual assault.

As Jonghun was imprisoned back on May 9th, 2019, November 8th, 2021 marks his release date. 

Meanwhile, former singer Jung Joon Young will be released on October 1st, 2025 as he was sentenced to 5 years in prison, and 80 hours of sexual violence education and a 5-year employment restriction.
