CL to release a song for her late mother on her birthday

CL revealed she will release a new song for her late mother as she posted a new video on her Youtube channel with the title "Wish You Were Here." The video is set to premiere on February 26th, which is CL's birthday.
Previously it was reported that the former 2NE1 member's mother passed away on January 23rd at the age of 53 due to a sudden cardiac arrest. The family held a private funeral on February 10th. On February 16th, CL shared the photo of herself and her mom below, along with a sweet message, thanking those who supported her and letting fans know she feels her mother will live through her.
Since the announcement of CL's new song for her late mother, many fans have been sharing messages of support for the artist on various social media platforms such as Twitter.

I can only imagine what CL is going through at the moment. This period of the year was to be a high point for her as she was said to release her album early in the year and she was featured in a commercial here in the U.S. that premiered during the Super Bowl.
