Actress Lee Elijah revealed that she was once scouted to become an idol during her high school years.
On the April 4 broadcast of the MBC variety show 'Point of Omniscient Interfere' (Episode 392), Lee Elijah’s past as a former aspiring idol was brought to light.
During the show, she responded to a question asking whether she had ever received casting offers by saying, “I don’t usually talk about this, but I was actually street-cast quite a lot when I was in high school.”
When asked if any well-known agencies had approached her, she surprised everyone by sharing, “I received a business card from SM, and I even had a meeting with producer Bang Si Hyuk from Big Hit Music.”
She went on to explain why she ultimately did not pursue an idol career, saying, “My parents told me to go to university first, saying I could still do it afterward. But once I stepped away, it became difficult to go back.”
Meanwhile, Lee Elijah, born in February 1990, is currently 36 years old. She made her acting debut in 2013 through the drama 'Basketball.' She studied Practical Music at Korea Arts High School and later majored in Acting at Seoul Institute of the Arts. She is currently pursuing further studies at the Graduate School of Convergence Science for Psychological Studies at Korea University.
