HYBE has now provided a surprising new update amid Manon’s ongoing hiatus from KATSEYE’s group activities.
On April 3, the Korea Herald reported that HYBE had officially confirmed that Manon would be performing alongside KATSEYE at Coachella. Their Coachella performance, scheduled for April 10, would mark Manon's first appearance with the group in 2 months - amid ongoing speculation regarding the reasons for her hiatus. Fans interpreted the announcement of her participation in Coachella as a surprising, but good, sign.
Then HYBE suddenly retracted their statement. Rather than confirming Manon's participation in Coachella, HYBE updated their stance as "declining to comment" on whether Manon would be performing at Coachella.
Simultaneously, Manon reported that she was currently in the midst of "positive conversations" with HYBE x Geffen.
With Manon’s hiatus having been announced on February 20, speculations have increased over the past month regarding her future in the group. Amid her hiatus, Manon’s social media activity has further fueled the rumors of discord within the group – including her recent decision to remove ‘KATSEYE’ from her Instagram bio.
