Lee Min Ho's label has announced its intention to take legal action against malicious commenters.
On May 22, his agency MYM Entertainment released a statement, saying, "We'd like to inform you we're taking legal action against those who recklessly wrote posts and comments based on slander and groundless rumors about actor Lee Min Ho." After collecting evidence from staff and fans, the label has filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.
The label further warned strict legal action would be taken in the future, and there will be no leniency on malicious commenters. MYM concluded, "This is an issue that's caused a lot of mental stress and psychological damage to the artist and to fans who've witnessed it. These illegal acts have been continuing on for years, and the reputation and image of our artist have suffered due to slander and hateful comments caused by false information. We'll continue to take legal action, and we ask for continued attention and tips from fans."
In other news, Lee Min Ho has been confirmed to be starring in the upcoming drama 'The King: The Everlasting Monarch', and it's scheduled to premiere in 2020.
