AKP STAFF

Actor Lee Min Ho has confirmed his first project back since his discharge from mandatory service!

According to Hwa & Dam Pictures on May 7, actor Lee Min Ho will be partnering up with star scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook for a new fantasy drama series, titled 'The King: The Everlasting Monarch'.

This will mark Lee Min Ho's second time working with scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook - the mastermind behind Lee Min Ho's hit drama 'The Heirs' as well as 'Descendants of the Sun', 'Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God)', 'Secret Garden', 'Mister Sunshine', and many more.

'The King: The Everlasting Monarch', also be directed by Paek Sang Hoon of 'Descendants of the Sun', will tell the story of two complex, fantastical parallel worlds. In this story, mankind discovers that a parallel world in which a different, and sometimes "better off" version of yourself exists just across a doorway. On one side of the door, a modern day king of a Korea governed by a monarchy struggles to close the parallel doorway, while one the other side, a detective struggles to protect life and love.

'The King: The Everlasting Monarch' aims to premiere some time in early 2020. Do you find the storyline interesting so far?
