A Pink's Na-Eun had trouble recognizing Psy?

Na-Eun, Psy
A Pink's Na-Eun talked about her experience working with Psy.

On November 1 airing of KBS2's 'Happy Together 4,' Na-Eun shared about the time she featured in Psy's "New Face" MV. She said, "I was worried because I had to show a new image that I've never shown before," however, "It was fun when I actually got into it. The reactions were good as well, and I was grateful that Psy sunbaenim gave me the opportunity."

MC Yoo Jae Suk asked, "I heard you didn't recognize Psy at first?" Na-Eun explained, "I saw him for the first time in the practice room. There were backup dancers there too. I was used to seeing a lavish side of him on stage, so when I saw him in just casual workout clothes, he felt like just an ahjussi I would see around my town. The comfortable vibe was different."

before her plastic surgeries, she looked kind of unique and what truly beautiful. Now she looks like so many other korean female celebs... she went from one in a million to one in five.

Adulthood. Her face was already changing as she was leaving her teen years. (Losing the baby fat is the typical expression used.) Combined with the long hours and other lifestyle habits idols are required to keep she likely saw a transformation in her face she wasn't pleased with despite whatever skincare and moisturization regimen she kept. It will likely happen again when she crosses the 30-35 year old barrier to take care of the inevitable crows feet and under eye wrinkles that are bound to crop up.

If people didn't give so much of a damn about just what she looked like in the first place, she wouldn't be continually chasing after that illusion of an appearance. I realize I'm talking about someone who is only 24 years old. but a 24 year old should look different than a 20 year old who should look different from a 16 year old. What do you expect her to look like? It's the expectations that cause the problems. You might just answer "herself" but how many other people would answer that way? Idols are not allowed to age gracefully. She makes her living partially off of her face and the expectations of what her face should be. So she has to continually chase after others expectation of appearance.

I also realize that I am not going to change anyone's opinions no matter what I write.

Our idols faces are going to change naturally, but the expectation is for them to always look like they do because that's one of their selling points. What's an idol supposed to do when they no longer look the same as they did, and they know their is that expectation?
