With numerous stars such as Big Bang's Taeyang being appointed as honorary ambassador leading with "Louder" and idol groups taking part in the torch relay leading up to the global event.
Trendy K-Pop songs and catchy EDM music also rang out during the opening ceremony as the world-class athletes marched into the arena. Likewise, the closing ceremony is another highlight to look forward to for K-pop fans. With less than two weeks left until the event, both EXO and CL are preparing hard for their spectacular performances.

SM Entertainment commented on EXO's upcoming performance, "Since the closing ceremony at the Winter Games will be viewed from around the world, we are working with utmost care on the song selection and overall presentation."
YG Entertainment also said about CL's stage, "We are preparing extra hard for the closing ceremony performance."
Not only that, other idol groups will be performing on stage throughout the Olympics, including 2PM, BTOB, G-Friend, and many more.
Athletes also expressed they were huge fans of K-Pop. In regards to Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva receiving EXO's signed CDs and DVDs as gifts, SM mentioned, "We heard that she was a huge fan of EXO after seeing her post on social media. A representative wanted to give her the presents so they reached out to us."
