SEE ALSO: ITZY's Yeji to make her solo debut
On November 9, Kris sat down with Bootleg Kev and DJ Damage on their radio show 'The Real After Party' on REAL 92.3 LA, a hip-hop radio station, to talk about several topics. They talked about working with big-named artists such as Pharrell but also spoke brifely about the reason why he left SM Entertainment while discussing how he got into the genre of hip-hop.
He said, "...Obviously I debuted back in the day as a K-pop artist in Korea. I didn't have much freedom, they were super tight. They feed you music and you just kinda do it, you don't have freedom. You know, I wasn't really feeling it so after 2 years, I left. Went back to China and started doing solo stuff."
