A rep from MBC revealed on September 4, "'Idol Star Athletics Championship' recording schedule has been canceled. However, the program itself has been tentatively delayed."
Due to the ongoing MBC strike, MBC had previously stated that they were recruiting a replacement PD, after Heo Hang PD's resignation and that they would outsource the staff members. They also stated that the recording for 'ISAC' would take place on September 4 and September 11.
There were some other reports stating that MBC had reached out to various artists and their respective labels with the filming date of September 18, to film the bowling segment of the program.
On September 4, one media outlet stated that 'ISAC' was canceled for good and MBC was deciding on if they were going to announce the cancellation of the cast appearance. However, MBC has explained that the filming schedule has been canceled and that the program itself has been tentatively delayed.
