On August 31, a representative from 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' (ISAC) claimed that filming for the upcoming Chuseok special will go on, despite its loss of staff.

Previously, numerous MBC employees including lead PDs of popular variety programs like 'Infinity Challenge', 'I Live Alone', and more decided to resign from their positions in order to participate in a mass general strike, which will be launching on September 4. A total of 1,568 employees are expected to take part in the strike by stepping down from their duties.
According to the 'ISAC' rep, the show is "currently discussing recruiting a replacement PD, after Heo Hang PD's resignation as a part of the general strike."

The Chuseok special recording of 'ISAC' will take place this September 4 and September 11. The show may be outsourcing staff this year in order to replace the show's lead PD, as well as a large amount of MBC staff hands who will be partaking in the strike.

Currently, staff representing MBC's 'Infinity Challenge', 'I Live Alone', and drama 'Man Who Sets the Table' have brought up the possibility of their programs halting broadcasts after September 4, while the '2017 DMC Festival', scheduled for mid-September, has officially been cancelled.

Stay tuned for updates.
