Jun Ji Hyun shared her excitement about returning to the big screen after 11 years with the upcoming film ‘Colony.’
On April 4, a production presentation for the film was held at CGV Yongsan I Park Mall in Seoul, attended by director Yeon Sang Ho and cast members including Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Bin, Kim Shin Rok, and Go Soo.

‘Colony’ is a survival thriller that follows a group of survivors trapped inside a sealed building during a mysterious outbreak, as they struggle against infected individuals who evolve in unpredictable ways.
Jun Ji Hyun takes on the role of Kwon Se Jung, a biotechnology professor and the leader of the survivor group. The film marks her first big screen appearance in 11 years since ‘Assassination.’
She expressed her excitement, saying, “It feels thrilling to return to film after such a long time. I have always been a big fan of the director, so I’m happy to greet audiences again through his work.”
She added that she chose the project not only because it is a film by Yeon Sang Ho, but also because of the opportunity to work alongside such a strong cast.
Describing her character, she said, “She is strong willed and stands up against injustice. She is a proactive leader who does everything she can to protect the survivors.”
‘Colony’ is scheduled to premiere in May.
