On Instagram, Hansol posted the photo of Topp Dogg below and wrote, "Thank you, friends. Thank you for my memories. Thank you, all." He also wrote a touching letter to fans as follows:
"Hello, this is Kim Hansol. I started out in a group of 13 members, then it became 10 and finally 9. I'm writing this because I want to say goodbye to my friends who I've spent all this time with. The first time a few members decided to start anew, the remaining members and I gave them our blessing. However, it was painful. I've heard every beginning has an end, and no farewell is beautiful. When my friends left the group, we sent them our well wishes and support, but we still felt apologetic towards our fans. I sent them off with a smile, but I shed a lot of tears.
That was a rough time for me, but now it's become my turn to say goodbye. I know how painful this is. It was definitely not an easy decision to leave my members, who've given me a lot of love and support. I've gone through this myself, and I know how hurt the members and fans feel. I'm sorry for not keeping my promise to stick with Topp Dogg forever. The other members will depend on each other a lot, and they'll do their best to keep the promise to you all. They'll be practicing every day to give fans amazing music and performances. The members have endured a lot of struggles and temptations, so give them a lot of love and support please.
On the new program 'The Unit', the members will become artists who instill hopes and dreams into people. I'll support them as a fan as well. To Sangdo, Xero, B-joo, Yano, and Hojoon, I know my apologetic words won't ease the pain, but I'll support you all with all my heart. I'm always thankful to you, and I deeply hope you make people a fan of your own color by showing them wonderful music and performances. I'll always support you."
In related news, Hunus Entertainment announced Hansol, P-Goon, and Nakta's leave from Topp Dogg, while Sangdo, Xero, B-joo, Yano, and Hojoon will be appearing on 'The Unit'.
