Jeon So Mi recently sat down with Star News for an interview, where she had an honest talk about her career after IOI.

Since the group's disbandment, the sixteen-year-old high school student has been keeping herself busy, appearing on numerous variety shows and practicing in the studio. "I've been taking some personal time to improve my skills. I usually head to the studio and practice after school or move on to my next schedule," she shared.

Onto having the chance to work with Unnies on 'Unnies Slam Dunk 2', she commented, "I didn't think that the team would even flourish at first, but I became really attached afterward."

She described, "It was fun working alongside the Unnies. It was difficult, but a very affectionate time. The songs were so catchy."

No mention of IDOT?

krell Friday, July 7, 2017

SOMI signed a NEW CONTRACT with JYPe Agency in January 2017. And that current contract 'defines' SOMI as an *ARTIST* with JYPe Agency ; and (no longer) *NOT* a TRAINEE. So, it is 'confusing' in that SOMI has NOT actually done an 'official' DEBUT as a member of a *permanent* K-pop Group (IOI was temporary) ; or as a SOLO K-pop Artist either. Yet, SOMI has done quite a few INDIVIDUAL activities already for JYPe Agency. So, SOMI is *not* a TRAINEE ; as far as JYPe Agency is concerned. Rather, SOMI is an 'under contract' signed ARTIST/TALENT if you will.

She's such a precious kid.  Her new project IDOT seems to be going well too.  Im needing USD SS3 though.

melalabanana Friday, July 7, 2017

Why don't she trained with other JYP trainees? Maybe she can choose her own team members.

123PoP Friday, July 7, 2017

Cnon jype put her in a group Dx still disappointed they let Natty go

melalabanana 123PoP Friday, July 7, 2017

Maybe she decided to leave JYP. Debut is taking too long after Sixteen. But still she made the wrong decision. She might be popular on that reality show but I don't think the future group of the show is going anywhere.

JMMPP melalabanana Friday, July 7, 2017

She's an actual and proper JYP artist and has an exclusive contract with them... Not to mention that JYP had Somi issue the casting call for their next round of trainees—round that could potentially nurture Somi's group memebers to be. She's debuted plenty of times already even though technically speaking those projects ultimately ended being temporary. She's arguably more active and prominent in the industry than many girl group memebers. She's established and successful in her own right, get a grip mate.

123PoP JMMPP Friday, July 7, 2017

They are talking about Natty not Somi

123PoP melalabanana Friday, July 7, 2017

Yup, I'm always nervous about Mnets idol shows. Natty had so much potential in JYPe especially if she had debuted with Somi. Ooh well, wish her and the other two luck

Ibrahimovic 123PoP Friday, July 7, 2017

she choose to go... IMO, she made the wrong choice no matter what is the result of the new survival show.... she's '02 liner (15 y/o)... she will be at perfect age to debut at 18/19 y/o... i think she was too hasty...

melalabanana JMMPP Friday, July 7, 2017

What is ur problem?? It's Natty!

Johncane 123PoP Friday, July 7, 2017

lol i dont think there is an opening for another jype girl group atm

melalabanana Ibrahimovic Friday, July 7, 2017

Hasty LOL maybe. Other successful trainees take more than 5 years to debut and look at where they are now. Living a dream that they dream of since trainee days. Oh boy Natty. Hope it goes well for her.

123PoP Johncane Friday, July 7, 2017

What? There is tho imo. For ex when 2pm debut 2am debut later on. When Got7 debut Day6 followed so why can't a gg debut after Twice? Plus technically Twice is the only gg right now. Somi has been waiting for a gg and now she has given up with the idea T.T

Johncane 123PoP Saturday, July 8, 2017

jype artists dont just compete with one another they compete with the whole industry. IMO i think they need to fine tune a gg cause if they debut too early they will be good for short time but in long term possible be forgotton. They basically just debuted twice. I feel like this is something that shouldn't be rushed and we all be patient. plus remmeber this is also a business, girl groups especially have a higher cost than boy groups

123PoP Johncane Saturday, July 8, 2017

Well it's going to be two years soon and Twice already have established themselves in the Kpop industry so I do believe it's about time JYP debut another gg.j even if they compete with the whole industry just debuting under JYPe gives them an upper hand.

The End
