Netflix has officially confirmed that its upcoming Korean thriller 'Wall To Wall' will be released on July 18. The announcement was made alongside the unveiling of a striking teaser poster and trailer that set the tone for a tense and realistic story.
'Wall To Wall' centers on Woo Sung, played by Kang Ha Neul, a young man who finally secures his own apartment after exhausting every financial resource available. His excitement soon turns to dread as he begins to experience relentless and unidentifiable floor noise that slowly unravels his peace of mind.
The title 'Wall To Wall' refers to the typical 1,140-square-foot apartment unit, often considered the most common layout in Korea. It carries symbolic weight, reflecting the harsh realities of the Korean real estate market where space and silence are hard to come by.
The teaser poster reveals a densely packed view of high-rise apartment buildings that fill the viewer's field of vision, creating a suffocating atmosphere. This imagery captures the film's core theme of psychological pressure in a confined living space.
In the teaser trailer, a cheerful voice says, “Congratulations on your new home,” while an upbeat song celebrating life in Seoul plays in the background. Woo Sung, having pieced together a home loan, severance pay, one-room deposit, and even his mother’s garlic field, finally achieves his dream of homeownership. Initially full of joy, his life quickly begins to fall apart as disturbing floor noise disturbs his nights, pushing him into a state of paranoia and anxiety.
'Wall To Wall' is the second thriller by director Kim Tae Joon, who received critical acclaim for 'Unlocked,' known for its refined direction and portrayal of everyday horror. The film stars Kang Ha Neul, Yeom Hye Ran, and Seo Hyeon Woo, all of whom are expected to deliver intense and immersive performances.
'Wall To Wall' will be available to stream globally on Netflix starting July 18.
