Ju Hak Nyeon files a complaint against TenAsia reporter
On June 20, Ju Hak Nyeon posted a photo on his Instagram story revealing that he has filed a defamation complaint against TenAsia journalist Choi Ji Ye under South Korea’s Information and Communications Network Act.
Prostitution rumors surrounding Ju Hak Nyeon
The reporter released an article claiming that Ju Hak Nyeon had met with former AV actress Asuka Kirara for sexual favors. The article claimed Ju met Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo in late May, where they allegedly spent the night together and exchanged money. According to the report, multiple entertainment industry sources stated that Ju Hak Nyeon’s former agency, One Hundred Label, confirmed the incident after conducting an internal investigation.
Following the accusation, Ju Hak Nyeon personally denied the rumors and has now filed a lawsuit against the reporter.

Korean netizens' reactions
Korean netizens are closely following the news and updates on Ju Hak Nyeon's incident and have gathered in a popular online community to discuss this topic. Many agree that Ju Hak Nyeon should file the lawsuit if the reports were false.
Korean netizens commented:
"If it’s false information, then filing a lawsuit is the right thing to do. If you didn’t commit a crime but false news says you did, you should sue. This isn’t just a regular dating rumor; it's prostitution. That’s a crime. If I didn’t break the law and someone calls me a criminal, I’d be seriously upset."
"Is it really false?"
"TenAsia is just a trashy, clout-chasing outlet. I support the lawsuit."
"If it wasn’t prostitution, then it’s a false accusation that obviously needs to be cleared. Even if their idol career is over, they still have to live their life – no one should carry that kind of label forever."
"What’s the difference between reporters who publish rumor articles without fact-checking and YouTube gossip channels? They deserve to be sued."
"Whether it’s prostitution or not is a big deal. It’s the difference between being punished by law or not. And since there are so many trashy reporters, you have to be careful."
"Makes you wonder if he did something to get on the company’s bad side. Feels like they’re trying to ruin him on purpose."
"The label is weird."
"If it’s not prostitution, then yeah, this is definitely grounds for a lawsuit."
"If it’s false, it needs to be corrected."
"The company is the weirdest one here."
"Seriously, if he’s innocent, he should clear his name. It’s not just his idol career, it’s his actual life at stake. And TenAsia? Our fandom already had fights with them before over weird articles. With that track record, they deserve to be sued."
"If it wasn’t prostitution, then the truth should be set straight. Even if he leaves the group, he has to keep living his life."
"If it wasn’t prostitution, but they said it was, that’s a huge problem...If Ju Hak Nyeon’s claims are true, that’s defamation."
