'SNL Korea' cast member Shin Dong Yup poked fun at T-ara's past bullying controversy in a skit on the June 24 installment of the show.

Shin Dong Yup, Jung Sang Hoon, Kwon Hyuk Soo, and Kim Min Gyo played the 2010 versions of Jiyeon, Qri, Eunjung, and Hyomin. Kim Joon Hyun in the role of T-ara's agency president asked, "Where's Boram and Soyeon," and the "girls" responded, "They went to the salon and aren't back yet."

When the real T-ara entered, Shin Dong Yup asked pointedly, "Why are there only 4 of you? Why didn't Boram and Soyeon come with you? Did you bully them?" Eunjung then spoke up, saying, "Don't say things like that so easily. Misunderstandings could happen!"

Oh!  I'm loving allkpop for this!  It may not be a perfect article I read about T-ARA but, it is okay!  T-ARA had fun doing SNL and I'm sure, all Queen's could see on their faces how genuinely happy they all look on their smiles and in their eyes!  So happy for T-ARA!  And I'm sure, they are sharing these things to their unnies that they missed!  We all queen's do too!

momos Sunday, June 25, 2017

Hmm.. I need T-ara on Knowing Brother.. XD

Maggie Saturday, June 24, 2017

Not sure how the negotiating of script happened, or maybe SNL Korea just has so much power over T-ara that they just can't refuse the script, just like that sexual harassment thing a while back. Seniority is such a big thing in South Korea but I think I would refuse to do this script if I were them. I don't think T-ara want to remind every viewer of this infamous scandal themselves if they have a choice. It's tasteless from SNL imo.

mango_91 Maggie Saturday, June 24, 2017

I don't think you got the message they did for the skit..

azzora8 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

It's not about seniority. It's the company that decides these things. There it's just business.

Maggie azzora8 Sunday, June 25, 2017

Again, that's what I meant, it's the seniority thing. MBK's management team sucks. SNL has the upper hand. They want exposure at all cost, disregarding whether it's good for the remaining members or their popularity. Is this really what they want if they have full control? I don't think so. Bringing up the scandal thing is the last thing I want if I were them.

Vivianlsv Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

you did know that their scandal were clear this year right? and it only happens after a few years they were eager to let more people know that their scandal are clear when one of the staff decided to step up and tell the truth alongside their ex manager with evidence from phone calls to messages

Maggie Vivianlsv Sunday, June 25, 2017

"Clear?" You saying the conflict is only one-sided? You are saying the members' tweets are fake? The girls don't get along. They ostracized the girl in public in multiple occasions. They all make mistakes. They are not all angels. Some members didn't deserve the hate because some members didn't respond publicly. I feel sorry for them, but not all of them.

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

"... in multiple occasions". What multiple occasions are you talking about? Don't tell me it's based on edited videos and pics made from the antis. There were just only one time where Hyomin put up a statement following the other girls, each girl tweeted only 1 time not multiple occasions like you are saying. The one doing the mediaplay multiple times in different occasions must be Hwayoung and her twin sis that's when people saw their true colors and got enough of them. You just sound like another netz who believe in those rumors based on some textlines that aren't explaining anything much there was non other than a discussion about agreement and disagreement until it got worse when Hwayoung's sis came up with her bad language and threatened the girls, I mean you can totally see who's trying to put the other part in a bad light and look the twin sis did it very well. They didn't call the twin snakes for nothing. Before the controversy occured it was the time T-ara reached their maximum of success and when their agency decided to announce Hwayoung's departure, the twin sis got mad and they knew that making T-ara look like bullies would hurt their reputation permanently, it's a revenge, and that's very unacceptable if you ask me and a dirty move. Listen Maggie, you gotta weight the justice, you gotta dig into the context. There are nothing 50/50 of the blame but rather 90 (the twin sis) / 10 (T-ara). Well 100% blame on their agency's poor management and the netz quick judgements. The only mistake T-ara did was just that they once took the discussion throught Twitter but everyone knows the context of it. I won't repeat myself anymore. Hope you will think in a clear mind next time you comment.

Maggie mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

It's what you (or me) are willing to believe or disbelieve and what you are willing to give them 100% benefit of the doubt. Edited or not, there is enough footage to say that the girls don't get along and there were disagreement. The multiple occasions I'm talking are not twitter, but other public appearances or broadcast. You can't deny that. There are poor management on all the sides including the company.

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

lol the fuck. Yes, ofc I deny. You've only seen the footages where antifans cut and remake videos to gifs and so, but you ain't even willing to see the moments when they actually are fine together. It just seem like you've been brainwashed as well as the other netz that believe in the bully controversy. It's true that the girls had disagreements and Hwayoung that didn't blend well with the group (she was lazy and kept coming up with excuses) and made the agency announce her departure, at this point Hwayoung chose to raise her hand and claimed she's the victim to the public to get sympathy and there on to put the other girls in a bad light (snake). Well I think I'd just repeated myself like a bunch of time now. We are getting to nowhere. Let's just blame on the company, that's the only part we agree on. Let's move on. Let me cheer for my girls in peace, would ya.

Maggie mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

You can cheer for your girls all you want. Good for you living in your own bubble. But it's my business to say what I want to say in the comment section.

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

Lol everyone can see who's the one living in the bubble here based on this comment section. You can't even backup your sayings. You keep coming up with what the antifans feeded you. Can't you think on your own? Guess not.

Maggie mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

I feel like this is what I want to say to you. Thanks.

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

Guess you don't have anything to say anymore :) Good.

missnumbered Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

I used to be like you and thought Hwayoung was telling the truth, however as a Korean and someone who living in Korea I will say that now the truth has been proved that T-ARA members were not bullys and it was in fact a misunderstanding that got exploded by Hwayoung. The T-ARA members names have been cleared now, and in Korea, although they are still famous now for their bully scandal many people also call them "pity-dols" because they pity them (their whole successful career was ruined by that). This is also another reason why Hwayoung's reputation in Korea is not that great right now along with the other things she got accused of recently.

mango_91 missnumbered Monday, June 26, 2017

Thank you for speaking up with me. #justiceforTARA

I love that SNL Korea is so savage. They don't shy away from what would otherwise be touchy or sensitive subjects on other, more traditional Korean programs.

mypcy Saturday, June 24, 2017

The Knowing Brother had burns better than this lol. Poor Jang Hoon and Sang Min.

Nutelladela Saturday, June 24, 2017

Off topic but how can Jiyeon be so fucking hot??

makan Saturday, June 24, 2017

If were them, I would have refused to do that skit. Not funny at all and just causes old wounds and issues to come up again. Move forward, don't look back and to be honest shame on the writers of SNL for even thinking about doing this.

mango_91 makan Saturday, June 24, 2017

There is nothing wrong clearing things up especially when they haven't done anything wrong from the very beginning. They ain't blaming anyone and it's a message to not believe in rumors. I think they know the situation much better than you do.

makan mango_91 Saturday, June 24, 2017

I hear you and you make a point but isn't it one sided so how is that "clearing things up". Plus didn't they act like they wanted this behind them? I am a fan of T-Ara but I am also a fan of Hwayoung too. So I just wish everyone can put this behind them and move on... now if ALL of them were in the skit together and some sort of joke was made about bullying and rumors then that would be something...but I seriously doubt that will ever happen. LOL

mango_91 makan Saturday, June 24, 2017

If you are a fan then you should've known that T-ara remained silent about the controversy these past years (RESPECT!). In the other hand Hwayoung and her sister kept speaking up and blaming the girls and played the victim cards, I mean have you seen their messages? And eventhough this skit was based on the controversy they never mentioned Hwayoung's name or blaming her, the message was meant to netizens to beg them stop. There is this popular phrase "One can't just fear the past and run away from it, one day you need to face it but once you face it do it with style." They got actually nothing to fear of if you ask me, they did nothing wrong. I think T-ara handled it very well, applause to them.

badjainna makan Saturday, June 24, 2017

They already move on that is why they can just laugh about it. The one who can't move on is the one who always cried about it.

Maggie mango_91 Saturday, June 24, 2017

"Done nothing wrong"? You sure about that? Lol

mango_91 Maggie Saturday, June 24, 2017

They didn't pinpoint the blame on anyone unlike a snake. Hwayoung started to play the victim card once it was announced that she gotta leave the group to the public. It was the time she left the group she knew that the bad reputation will destroy T-ara's image (I can totally imagine the smirk on her face). She took it too far when it could've been handled between both parties in private. But Hwayoung chose to take the matter in her own hands instead after their agency announced her leaving.

makan mango_91 Saturday, June 24, 2017

Lets agree to disagree. It is clear that you love and believe T-ara is totally innocent, but I don't see it that way. I think there were mistakes on both sides, and from the company too... and the media loved the drama and of course we have netizens too. Honestly, I don't know if we will ever know the truth, that is why I said let it go, I want each of them to move on.

makan badjainna Sunday, June 25, 2017

Your opinion, and you believe what you want to believe. I have a bit of a different opinion on this. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle but I blame the agency the most.

mango_91 makan Sunday, June 25, 2017

But you can't deny because of Hwayoung that T-ara have been living with this reputation in almost 5 years and still on. It's not making any justice for the girls and it shouldn't have happened. But agree that their agency is the one to blame on. A small catfight shouldn't lead to Hwayoung's leave but there are these news that Hwayoung didn't complete her schedule with the group and claimed her being hospitalized and all when she was actually damn lazy. So I can see the reason for that too that escalated to the fight.

mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

But in all Hwayoung was the one doing the mediaplay in the public. T-ara didn't speak up and remained silent which I totally respect. This skit is about "rumors" as a theme and T-ara wanted to give out the message that people that haven't been at the place when the incident occured don't understand the situation and cause misunderstandings and false rumors. T-ara haven't blame anyone instead they wanted to give netizens a lesson to remember.

badjainna makan Sunday, June 25, 2017

It seems like you are the one who can't move on hahaha!!

badjainna mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

it such a waste of time explaining things to "makan" coz he/she's the one who can't move on. LOL!

crystalCassie91 makan Sunday, June 25, 2017

You are complaining about opening wounds that aren't yours.. Yet the wounded people themselves are the ones participating in this skit...

Maggie mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

Edit

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

You are saying "them", "some of the members" what makes you so insecure to not point out names? You ain't backing up anything out of what you're saying. Last time I checked there were these "insiders" in the company that came up with their observations about the controversy that they didn't like Hwayoung that much. And you feel sorry for the members who didn't take actions to the social media? Wtf. That's the most immature move to do when you're an idol/singer/celebrity. Take Hwayoung as a perfect example. The smart ones know that there are no point to add more fuel to the fire.

Maggie mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

It's not insecurities. It's my laziness and I assuming you already knew who I'm talking about. You DO know who these members are when they make social posts which make them look like they are ganging up on the one girl, right? If you need me to spell it out for you, it's everyone besides Areum and Qri who posted tweets or retweeted on social media. I feel sorry for the two girls. But the rest of them had a hand in this mess too. MBK is the biggest failure.

mango_91 Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

As they said don't make quick judgement based on some textlines when you don't know what it exactly is about will cause misunderstandings. T-ara's messages didn't contain much details so it's hard to say what they exactly was talking about, but it was clearly a discussion about the word "determination". You're saying --> "... which make them look like they are ganging up on the one girl, right?", To this, well, when Hwayoung makes another statement that differ from the other, it would "LOOK" like bully? Hwayoung's disagreement made herself LOOK like the victim. It's known that Hwayoung was the least hardworking member among them which made the other girls expressed themselves on Twitter and unintentionally it got leaked out, they must've been intrigued by the fact that Hwayoung lied to them and that she didn't attend the concert right after. It was a conflict between them which they could've handled in private ofc which they sadly didn't, they did apologize after. It got worse when the twin sis butted in the conversation. T-ara tweeted like just one time followed by Hwayoung and her sis which started the controversy but after that the girls remained in silent while Hwayoung kept speaking up to the media which is fuel to the fire and the netz got tired of her. But I agree that MBK is the biggest failure.

its_queenbee mango_91 Sunday, June 25, 2017

mango_91, seriously, I loved how you answered! Very witty! Glad to see more positive Queen's!

its_queenbee Maggie Sunday, June 25, 2017

All I knew off, that tweet ... "Determination..." came only after they have confronted Hwayoung regarding her actions, which caused a huge fuss at the concert in Budokan! But, Hwayoung, didn't apologized and acted disrespectful to her unnies whom are far senior to her, and left them! Then, came that infamous tweet after that Budokan incident, and so on ...! You should have read the news the details of it all... it's in the news! Search at Soompi ... or Dispatch! It was detailed from day 1 , including the "Ï will cut your face" message to Areum by Hyoyoung, and the Musicbank incident! .... Seriously, if you were a T-ara fan, you would have given the "Truth" the benefit of the doubt, and not sided on your bias yet, pretending your a fan of the group, well in truth, you just stan Hwayoung?! I know you were hurt! All queen's were, but, most specially the real victims that were burden for 5 years, for the fire that they didn't even started! Never did T-ara claimed that they have no fault at all! In fact, numerous times they have explained and have apologized, but, whatever they do, they can't just erase everything! Netizens have already believed the lies that have escalated, that have no truths at all, and not even the cause of Hwayoung's real reason of departure from T-ara! The girls even protected her from not saying the whole truth, and accepted what was fated to them! But, sometimes fate plays on all of us, even the secrets we hid for a long time, will come out, because we have not learned our lesson from the past! And that's what happened to the Ryu twins, Hwayoung and Hyoyoung! Sorry! But, what's happening now, is a real healing for T-ARA! A fresh and new start for them! Oh, and yes, MBK may be good with concepts, style and song choice but, when it comes to managing stars, they suck at it! Peace!

mango_91 its_queenbee Sunday, June 25, 2017
