4 of Psy's new songs from his 8th full album '4 x 2 = 8' have been deemed inappropriate for broadcast by the national broadcasting station, KBS

Among the 4 ruled out from broadcasts were his double title tracks, "I Luv It" and "New Face", as well as "Bomb" featuring iKON's B.I. & Bobby and "Auto Reverse" featuring Tablo. Both title songs as well as "Bomb" were determined inappropriate due to indications of cursing or usage of slang words, while "Auto Reverse" was ruled out for the reference of 'Sony's 'Walkman'.

How do you like the songs from Psy's 8th full album?

  1. Psy
  2. i luv it

censorship on Korean TV is arbitrary and devoid of logical reasoning. Waste of money.

This is why I loathe KBS and their "strict" censorship.  If they find that material problematic for all the families that are always watching the channel, well then, can't they just take some notes from American cable channel MTV and censor out that stuff completely?  I know that it sounds silly to some of you but I simply think that it would be a pretty good idea.  Or better yet, they should just stop with the strict censorship and start actually censoring actual problematic material for all the right reasons soon enough.  And besides, there wasn't anything wrong with some of PSY's songs on his long awaited album anyway.  So why the fuss?  It's a good thing that stuff like this is being allowed throughout the rest of the whole entire world.

KBS is just the biggest hater of YG. Thats it. No surprise.

so does this mean if PSY wants to promote through KBS too, he will have to change up the areas KBS deemed "INappropriate" ? i doubt it though, i remember on weekly idol they wer asking bb if they know which broadcasting channel they were on and bb were guessing and donycony said "KBS" (as joke) and TOP burst out laughing and went "ahahah noooo NOT KBS XD" idols & their companys know who wants to screw them over :P

Sure KBS is a very conservative, but why add curse words in song lyrics? To sound cool?

SpringxTempo Euntae Wednesday, May 17, 2017

if you actually look at the lyrics technically he's not cursing...

kpoplove83 Euntae Wednesday, May 17, 2017

if i remember right, his title tracks dont even curse... they just sound like theyre cursing. due to a play on words like mother father gentleman (his old song) mother father supposed to be a play on words like mother f***ing. but sounding like cursing isnt the same thing. so pretty stupid to deem them unfit for that reason

edurance Euntae Wednesday, May 17, 2017

most people curse in their regular life. it's a way of expressing yourself among people you feel comfortable with, so it comes natural. maybe musicians want their lyrics to sound true to themselves and somehow relatable? i don't know...
