Chiko Entertainment confirmed and explained the story behind MIXX's abrupt disbandment.

Yesterday, an exclusive report revealed that MIXX faced disbandment due to the THAAD issue between China and South Korea.

On March 17, Chiko Entertainment spoke up about the unfortunate news, and explained, "We experienced difficulties during our 1st album production because of the political issues. The agency still tried hard to maintain investment and connection but our partners in China, Chiko Bros, terminated partnership on their own without discussion and returned MIXX's Chinese's members to China. We tried to keep MIXX together but it fell apart as our Chinese partner was uncooperative."

It continued, "We inevitably faced the disbandment of MIXX. Despite our great financial loss, we terminated the contracts with Korean members Mia and Heeyu without any conditions"

MIXX debuted in January of 2016 and recently made a comeback with ''Love is a Sudden'' in January. The group has now officially disbanded.

Can China terminate all their trade contracts with the US too? It would be so awesome, and Vieman, India, Thailand and others would be thankful. This is ridiculous, they just took the girls back, like items. No freedom left in China.

Goddammit. I'm so pissed off. I listened to their songs over and over and over. They were my favorite group :(

i'm really unhappy about this. maybe they wouldn't have been the biggest stars. but i loved the members and their music. they were kinda like a more childish, bright, quirky GFriend.

Thats so sad TT i was so looking forward to more of them!!

"Despite our great financial loss, we terminated the contracts with Korean members Mia and Heeyu without any conditions." Pff, as if you were doing them some sort of favor by dumping them.

considering idols have to pay their agencies back the investment that was put in them...

RGreene AshDelano Friday, March 17, 2017

i was about to say the same thing. it's quite a gift to have your contract terminated without conditions. that's WHY they mentioned their "great financial loss". because usually, companies don't let that money go.

Actually considering the fact that most companies force their artists to pay them back or block them from going on music shows, Chiko did them a favour.

Only in the cases where idols actually WANT to leave their group/agency. These girls had barely started when the agency dramatically decides to cut their loses when they lost the Chinese members and scrap the whole group. These girls wanted to work off their debts, they wanted to have employment.

If this ChiCom bullying campaign against South Korea intensifies, I fear Chinese members of kpop groups will start receiving intense pressure to abandon their groups and leave South Korea. The ChiCom regime's professional agitators don't care about contract obligations and careers, and will whip the Chinese population into a frenzy to make life miserable for the Chinese members and their families. They will be branded as traitors and worse, and their families in China will be harassed. Remember what the ChiCom mob did to Tzuyu? That was just over a flag. The situation here is far more serious.

Sucks for the girls - victims of global politics.  If they are lucky, some other agency may give them a shot with another group.

Its such a shame, i really like their debut song
