'Super' police officer rescues a child trapped under a vehicle

"Don't worry, I will save you..."  Back on January 13, an off-duty police officer with the surname Shin stationed in Nonsan witnessed a horrific accident and dashed to the scene.

A child was found trapped underneath a van.  Seeing this, officer Shin immediately examined the child's condition.  Officer Shin calmly stated to the child, "I'm a police officer, I will save you. Can you stop crying and stay still for me?"

After letting all the other children safely off the vehicle, officer Shin disappeared underneath the vehicle.  He then called out to the people watching to lift the back tire.  

At the time, officer Shin was able to successfully retrieve the child without any harm as he was applauded by the people.

"As soon as I saw the child in danger, I just thought about saving him. I was just doing my job, I did what I was supposed to do," commented officer Shin.
