The Turkish contestant on 'The Voice' has refused to apologize.

According to a translation by @postpluvia and @rabeannie1993, the artist's side claimed that they never meant to claim the track as their own - only that the way he sang it was his. However, after the 'clarification', the contestant went on to demand that STARLIGHTS, who have been demanding some kind of justice for VIXX, should apologize for their behavior online. They went to suggest that it was sad Turkish fans were not fans of people of their own country but of a foreign country.

Later, an additional post was made to show that the contestant did in fact credit VIXX in a video three weeks prior. However, fans noticed right away that the post was in fact edited recently, and the post originally uploaded on December 28th did not have the caption.

What do you think of the situation?

From my experience starlights are one of the sweetest, chillest, and loving fandoms... but now they're (we're) pissed so... this guy better watch out lmao. Free publicity aside his nonexistent career will be desecrated soon so that's nothing to worry about. I can't believe there are people defending him, like I can write an essay about this but I already know i'm going to be extra so, whatever. He's not worth too much energy but all I gotta say is he's going down.

SuperFly_Snuka Monday, January 23, 2017

"asian fetishists " doesn't seem to far off. some of you people are actually, completely obsessed with people who don't know/don't give af about you 😂

bangeryun94 SuperFly_Snuka Tuesday, January 24, 2017

Yeah, there are a lot of people obsessed with Justin Bieber, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid.

SuperFly_Snuka bangeryun94 Tuesday, January 24, 2017

bangeryun94 SuperFly_Snuka Tuesday, January 24, 2017

White Anglo fetishists.

SuperFly_Snuka Monday, January 23, 2017

lmao everybody was quick to accuse, but now they have too much pride to apologize

bangeryun94 SuperFly_Snuka Tuesday, January 24, 2017

Why should they apologise? Pillsbury Stay Puff Dude never expected one any way

SuperFly_Snuka bangeryun94 Tuesday, January 24, 2017

They accused and insulted him for something he never said.

bangeryun94 SuperFly_Snuka Tuesday, January 24, 2017

He stole a song and then he said plenty. But he's an attention whore and he's hit gold.

SuperFly_Snuka bangeryun94 Tuesday, January 24, 2017

so now singing a song is stealing. people were mad because they thought he said he made vixx's song. but it's came to light that he never said that

Gallifreyan7 SuperFly_Snuka Sunday, February 19, 2017

When the performance was broadcasted on TV you can see that the only person credited for both the lyrics and the instrumental was him. He took credited for someonelse's work wich isn't legal.

WhitePInkRose Monday, January 23, 2017

bitch fuck realy how can they do that he's just a contestant not a singer

2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

I didn't bother with this when it first came out but now that the guy is fighting back I've got to know. What did he do exactly? Don't Voice contestants do covers? I'm afraid to say it but a lot of kpop fans bring this on themselves. He's some random guy on a television game show that does covers of much more famous music than Vixx. Yes, my darling fellow Koreaboos these pogroms enacted against anyone and everyone outside of Korean entertainment makes you all look crazy. Vixx does not need to be "credited" by some obscure Turkish Voice contestant. The idea is to promote Kpop isn't it? Not turn people against it with campaigns to scold anyone and everyone that doesn't see it in the same way as you. I see comments on youtube react videos that would turn people off forever to kpop because the fans are obnoxious.

Hyde_and_sick 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

That's not about covers. It started because he said at the show "Voice" himself that he's the composer of this music.

2fat Hyde_and_sick Monday, January 23, 2017

Of course and he needed to be corrected because why? Because he might win? So what? Sometimes it's better to just say nothing and let the other person hang them self.

Hyde_and_sick 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

well, who knows... may be he really can win xD

Kithisaki 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

All the Turkish fans wanted was an apology because he went on national TV and took credit for another person's work. His arrogance is what made it escalate. He has diss track now saying kpop fans have an Asian fetish and claimed Turkish Starlights can stand by their own country and like foreign music then dissed VIXX by saying they are fake artist

2fat Kithisaki Monday, January 23, 2017

Well he responded negatively but not everybody bows and apologizes just because a bunch of people on the internet scold you for something. He's not a nice guy but then if he really did "plagiarize" the song then he wasn't going to be nice about it anyway.

Kithisaki 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

I know but if you are going to be an arrogant dick about it, don't expect the other side to just take it without trying for legal actions or ruining your career.

2fat Kithisaki Monday, January 23, 2017

Well he doesn't have a career obviously. But he did react badly.

Kithisaki 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

It went from defending VIXX to know the Turkish Starlights defending their honor and calling out his ignorance and racist remarks. They want him removed from The Voice.

2fat Kithisaki Monday, January 23, 2017

Sounds like a plan.

Kithisaki 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

But I don't think much can be fully done unless Jellyfish steps in and they might not since this is an international issue.

2fat Kithisaki Monday, January 23, 2017

Like I said sometimes it's better to just walk away from it. The man hung himself by acting like a douche. If he'd have handled differently I might have sided with him. People don't need to be called out on everything all the time. Especially when it's the entertainment industry. A lot of people don't even get 5 minutes of fame. They gave this guy even more momentum.

loveyfan95 Monday, January 23, 2017

Hi everyone i am a 22 years old Türkish starlight from antalya .İ have been following and supporting vixx since the mydol days i also support #justice for vixx but what makes me really sad ıs that many people not only here started to diss and judge turkey and turkish starlights because of one person . i mean i also got really angry after i watched it live and dıdnt saw vixxs name anywhere and after ı listened to the track i even left many comments on different social media accounts ,that no one should take credit for vixx s hard work, especially wşthout askıng them because taht is plaglarizm but not every tukısh person ıs such an a.... like him so pelase stop judging us as a whole.thank you for reading my blabebring.i really had to wrıte thıs because ı am a bıg supporter of vixx and am proud to be a starlight of our fandom because we support vıxx no matter what and are a chill fandom but we also know how to show our fangs so pelase show them to the rıght people and dont put us on the same place as some sadly are . i really hope that jellyfiish wıll do something about thease whole happenings like askıng for a formal apology with love a Turkish starlight

shikey Monday, January 23, 2017

for real NOW ?

JFee Monday, January 23, 2017

I am seriously confused. While I understand that this is upsetting and I also understand people are angry about the things he said or for writing a "diss track" against Kpop fans and everything.... How come these things seem to be the main focus? I don't really care about a random dude somewhere in the world being an a**hole, because somewhere in the world there's always going to be an a**hole. But that aside. Isn't what he did kind of... illegal?? Like, that's obviously plagiarism and plagiarism is definitely not legal. So shouldn't something be happening in that department?

shikey JFee Monday, January 23, 2017

2fat JFee Monday, January 23, 2017

I don't know about the Turkish version of The Voice but on the American version people sing covers of other people's songs all the time. It's just a game show. It's wasn't illegal for Kpop singers to do all those covers of "Let it Go" was it?

shikey 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

yeah , but the thing is that he came out saying he did "everythig"

JFee 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

Hmmh I just wrote this, but it's kinda gone, so I'll try again. I have actually been asking about the potential plagiarism of this incident. That's what the question marks are for. I never said using the music is plagiarism, but claiming someone elses song as your own composition, that definitely is. And that's not the same as singing a cover, because when you cover a song, the credit to its owner is kind of included. So I was wondering whether he actually pretended that he'd composed the music or not. And if he did, why doesn't it have conqequences?

SeleneAlai 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

Yes you are absolutely right The Voice works under the premises that people auditioning are doing covers and that is why they do disclaimers and credits. Everytime a contestant does a performance the show production puts a side box with the contestans name and the title of the song by doing that they are giving credit to the author and composer. Show like The X Factors always ask contestants "So what are you going to sing for us?" "Dynamite by Vixx" that's a disclaimer that is a cover of x artist. However, in this fools case he went to the show and be like "so I want to sing a song that I wrote the lyrics title 'Creativity' with out giving credit to Vixx or Simon Janlöv, Andrew Choi and Melodesign for the composition. That's why is plagiarism because he presented the whole song as his intellectual property. That's why The Voice Turkey once it got wind that he partially plagiarized the song they pull down the video of his performance from their website.

2fat SeleneAlai Monday, January 23, 2017

He only claimed to write the lyrics or the entire song? It looks like he used the instrumental and put his own lyrics to it. I suspect they took down the video because it created negative publicity for the show I'd assume. Sampling is pretty pervasive in rap music anyway although if it's used for profit then the copyright holder gets a slice. Since this was a one off, some guy on a game show I'm not sure it rises to the level of actual "plagiarism".

Vixxisinfinite 2fat Monday, January 23, 2017

when he perform on the bottom the voice caption credits to him "Kurşun - Her Şey Aynı " that i understand every time the contestants sing a song on the voice it sold on itunes is what i want to know was he planning on talking the money that he would make selling the song??? is the song selling on itunes or was selling on itunes?

2fat Vixxisinfinite Monday, January 23, 2017

Appears it might. Then he might be subject to international copyright laws if Turkey is subject to them.

Vixxisinfinite Monday, January 23, 2017

he wrote a racist diss track and practically made misogynistic comments towards underage females i find it incredibly inappropriate he a grown adult it was for him to ignore it clear this man is immature he won't apologize. Not only that if the public in Turkey found out he would be shame by the public women are commonly abuse in music by rapper he no different he thinks he a rapper because he uses the N word and the man got no backlash since he "made the song" he stole the instruments from vixx song it was for him to get backlash for it the voice should not let a racist man be the winner the voice should  not let him win because a man who thinks it okay to speak about women and young women like that. this is the song that would break him if we think about it if the voice lets him stay or win it says the voice okay with racism and there okay with a misogynistic

big_kpop_lovers Vixxisinfinite Monday, January 23, 2017

the worst is, he has a daughter, I wish his daughter will not get karma from her father did

SuperFly_Snuka Vixxisinfinite Monday, January 23, 2017

What did he say that was racist

big_kpop_lovers Sunday, January 22, 2017

this is his diss track for KPOP FAN AROUND THE WORLD

bangeryun94 big_kpop_lovers Monday, January 23, 2017
