Earning yourself a title as 'Nation's ___' is possibly the biggest honor you could get as a celebrity or public figure, so we've compiled a list of some of the celebrities who have been honored with such titles.  Some have generations while others are more recent creations.  There are also some that are personal opinions and others that are very well set in stone and accepted by almost everyone.

Here are some of the some of the most common, acknowledged, and recent ones - keep in mind that not everyone could be included; there are definitely more with their own or even the same titles!  For example, there seems to have been the most generations for Nation's First Love, but we included the three most famous and acknowledged ones below.

Check out the list!

Say what you want about Seolhyun but she has worked extremely hard to earn that title. Even despite her scandals, she still continues to work hard and achieve lots of success. At the beginning of her career as a solo cf promoter there was an excessive amount of media play but now the korean gp actually love her. She is a trend whether you like it or not and has been for the past few years. Time to accept that hating is not going to bring her down so you might as well be congratulatory or at least not be salty.

While it may be true that she works hard is obvious that her looks and good circumstances gave her that title. Many idols work just as hard without seeing anywhere near that level of fame. Let's be real here.

The Korean general public does not love her. They never loved her and loved her even less than not loving her after the quizz debacle. Her visiting Zico made the general public love her even less than they already didn't love her. The title was also given to her by herself. Clara also uses that title. Come talk to me about how Korea loves her when she works hard to become a better songer and actor. And don't make the mistake of calling people who see past her beautiful face haters when they are simply being realists.

And now they have Nation's wannabe : u-know-who

bangeryun94 YesIAm Sunday, January 1, 2017

Who would that be? Quite curious

InfiniteElf92 Saturday, December 31, 2016

I like Nation's 'mother's friend's son' and 'mother's friend's daughter' categories... XD

bichnaneunshinee InfiniteElf92 Saturday, December 31, 2016

It seems to me like those titles are the equivalent of boy/girl next door.

bangeryun94 bichnaneunshinee Sunday, January 1, 2017

That's exactly what it is. So is Nation's Little Sister

bangeryun94 Sunday, January 1, 2017

First time hearing about nation it-girl lol

bangeryun94 Lea10042016 Sunday, January 1, 2017

That's because it was a title given to the person by the person herself.

mainvocalists Lea10042016 Sunday, January 1, 2017

I've heard it so many times though??? It's nothing new.

lovelynnnnnn bangeryun94 Sunday, January 1, 2017

She seems a littler overrated. Everyone went crazy with her. For me I found her normally talented. She's got talent but not the extent of amazing and craziness if you know what i mean

bangeryun94 lovelynnnnnn Sunday, January 1, 2017

There was a lot of money spent in the effort to try to make her as popular as, let's say, Yoona and Suzy. The money as well as the effort dried up when she made the mistakes at history quizz and even more when those photos were released to the public of her visiting Zico.

mainvocalists lovelynnnnnn Sunday, January 1, 2017

Well... the it-girl title isn't necessarily given because of talent, but because of looks and popularity. UEE of After School used to have this title as well, and she can't really sing nor has outstanding dancing skills, she was just VERY popular back in the day.

lovelynnnnnn mainvocalists Sunday, January 1, 2017

But Seol Hyun isn't that pretty either. She's normal looking and tbh UEE is much prettier. It's not like I dislike Seol Hyun, but her overrated popularity really gets to me. There are other girls who are just as pretty and I guess more talented in both singing and dancing. I just don't get why organizations are willing to make one person shine more than the rest? It seems unfair and she's not able to show her actual talent because she became a poster girl for being the 'it-girl'.

mainvocalists lovelynnnnnn Monday, January 2, 2017

I find her to be gorgeous; it's a matter of taste, honestly. Maybe you don't think she's outstandingly good-looking, but the vast majority does, which is what really counts. I don't think it's a bad thing; trying to break into the music industry is hard, especially for girl groups. When you already suffered from lack of popularity and sales, anything knetz give you is well-received. You can be like Hani, a girl who's close to being a second it-girl: She became famous thanks to a fancam and after that knetz started realizing she could actually sing + she was very smart and funny. That's how this works, hun. Looks first, talent second; at least for knetz.

lovelynnnnnn mainvocalists Monday, January 2, 2017

I see what you mean but it's so stupid to judge a person mainly for their looks. It's disappointing that it comes to such lengths. There are tonnes of idols out there that I had no idea existed and yet they're there. It really is unfair but then again we can say this about anyone in any music industry around the world. A lot of talented people but hey they gotta have the looks to be a celebrity of some extent 😒

mainvocalists lovelynnnnnn Monday, January 2, 2017

They live in South Korea, the plastic surgery capital of the world; sadly, looks come first; although I don't see it as a problem. Most artists in the Korean industry get recruited because of their looks. Plus, k-Idols tend to feel more confident when they are recognized for their looks, so I'm pretty sure she (and any other it-girl) feels happy with her title, and she should be, honestly; not everybody is as pretty as her.

Schitstainz Saturday, December 31, 2016

Rain used to be the Nation's Little Brother.Son Yon Jae was the Nation's Fairy.GOD and Big Bang are the Nation's Boy Group.SES, WG, and SNSD are the Nation's Girl Group.

Schitstainz Saturday, December 31, 2016

And although it was just a joke, K-netz called Bobby the Nation's Trainee.
