Former Rainbow members Go Woo Ri and Cho Hyun Young recently gained attention through a web variety show documenting the formation process of a new unit, Rainbow18.
The group is scheduled to release a new album on August 1 at 6 PM (KST).K-Tigers Entertainment has partnered with Rainbow18 to oversee their album production, content creation, and overall management.
In addition, a new program titled 'No Back Idol: Rainbow18' will launch through the 'No Back Tak Jae Hoon' YouTube channel, airing every Friday at 6 PM starting June 27. The show will chronicle the making of the Rainbow18 project.
The connection between Rainbow and K-Tigers Entertainment dates back to Rainbow's final group activities. While K-Tigers is best known globally as a taekwondo demonstration team, they also established K-Tigers Entertainment to expand into various entertainment ventures, including film, music, content production, and live performances. Their marketing team has handled projects for artists like April and KARD from DSP Media, as well as Rainbow’s last album, which laid the foundation for this renewed collaboration.
K-Tigers Entertainment CEO Ahn Chang Beom shared his strong resolve, stating, “Rainbow was always a first-place nominee but never clinched a win. Even with their final song ‘Whoo,’ they couldn’t secure a #1. I want to resolve that lingering regret by making sure RAINBOW18 hits number one. We’re aiming for Billboard!”
Recently, K-Tigers gained global attention through their collaboration with Sony Pictures on the Netflix original film 'KPop Demon Hunters' which topped charts in the U.S., Korea, and over 40 countries. Several songs from the soundtrack ranked on the U.S. iTunes chart, with six tracks entering the Top 10.
